How to Book an Appointment
There are two ways to book an appointment:
Option 1: Appointment Calendar View
Option 2: From the Patient Screen
Prerequisite: Appointment Schedule Configuration
Before booking appointments, ensure that an appointment schedule has been configured for the location where appointments will be created.
If a schedule is already available for the location, you can proceed with booking appointments. Otherwise, you must first configure the appointment schedule and online appointment settings.

Option 1: Appointment Calendar View
To book an appointment from the Calendar View, navigate to the Appointments module.

If multiple locations (companies) are available, select the desired location from the header at the top of the screen.
Next, choose the required appointment time and select the physician or room for which you want to book the appointment.

Click on the desired time slot in the Calendar View where you want to create the appointment. An appointment form will open.
Fill in the required details such as Patient, Insurance, Service, Status, and any other relevant information. Once all the details have been entered, click the Save button to book the appointment.

After saving the appointment, it will be displayed in the Calendar View at the selected date, time, and physician or room.

Option 2: From the Patient Screen
You can also book an appointment for a specific patient from the Patient Screen, regardless of the selected location.
To book an appointment, navigate to the Patients module and open the patient record for whom you want to create the appointment.
After opening the patient record, click the Book Appointment button in the header. This will open the appointment form, allowing you to create a new appointment for the selected patient.
After clicking the Book Appointment button, you will be redirected to a new tab containing the appointment scheduling screen.
On this screen, select the Location, Service Type, Provider, and Date. Once a date is selected, the available time slots will be displayed below.
Choose your preferred time slot and click Confirm Appointment to complete the booking.

After clicking the Confirm Appointment button, you will be redirected back to the patient's record.
In the Appointments section, you can view all appointments associated with that patient. The newly created appointment will also be listed there.

That's it! These are the two ways to create an appointment in the system:
- From the Appointment Calendar View
- From the Patient Screen
You can use either method based on your workflow and scheduling requirements.
