Got2 Login Security Restrictions and Access Control Guide
Overview
The Got2 Login Security Restrictions and Access Control module enhances system security by controlling where, when, and how users can sign in. Administrators can restrict login access based on countries, cities, IP addresses, IP ranges, user groups, or individual users. The module also supports email OTP verification for new locations, login schedule restrictions, brute-force protection, and temporary access passes. Detailed login logs and security dashboards provide complete visibility into user access and security events. This helps organizations protect sensitive data and maintain secure, controlled access to their Got2 system.
Prerequisites
Before using this functionality, make sure that the Got2 Login Security Restrictions and Access Control module is installed in your environment. If the module is not installed, please contact your system administrator or the Got2 Administrator for assistance.
After the module is installed, appropriate security access rights must be assigned to the users who will manage or configure login restrictions. To do this, navigate to:
Settings → Users & Companies → User Roles

Assign Login Security Access Rights
Open the user role that should have access to the Login Security features.
Navigate to the Access Rights tab and locate the Other Rights section. Under the Security field, you will find the following options:
- Login Restriction: User
- Login Restriction: Manager
Select the appropriate role based on the level of access you want to grant and save the changes.
Once the role is assigned, all users belonging to that user role will be able to access the Login Security menus and perform the actions permitted by their assigned security level within Got2.

Accessing the Login Security Module
Once the required access rights have been assigned, simply navigate to the Login Security module from the main menu.

Creating a Location Rule
After accessing the Login Security module, navigate to the Location Rules menu and create a new rule.

Within a Location Rule, you can configure the following restriction types:
- Restricted Countries
- Restricted Cities
- Restricted IP Addresses
- Restricted IP Ranges
You can also choose who the rule applies to:
- All Users – The rule will apply to every user in the system.
- Specific Users – The rule will apply only to selected users.
- Specific Groups – The rule will apply to users belonging to selected user groups.
Additionally, you can configure Time-Based Restrictions to control when users are allowed to log in.
Available options include:
- From Time – The start time during which login is allowed.
- To Time – The end time during which login is allowed.
- Allowed Days – The days of the week on which users are permitted to log in.
This allows you to create flexible security policies based on location, network, user groups, and business hours, providing an additional layer of security and access control.

Security Dashboard
The Security Dashboard provides a complete overview of login activity within the system. From this dashboard, you can monitor key security metrics such as the total number of login attempts, successful logins, failed logins, blocked logins, verification requests, and other security-related events.
The dashboard also includes statistics, trends, and activity summaries, helping administrators quickly identify suspicious activity and monitor the overall security status of the system.

Please follow the steps outlined in this guide to configure and use the Login Security module.
If you encounter any issues or have any questions during the setup process, please contact the Got2 Support Team or your Got2 Administrator for assistance.
